End-to-end support

Every step of your overseas journey — covered

Most students come to us confused about where to even begin. Here’s exactly what we cover, in order.

1

Is abroad right for you?

Before anything else, we have an honest conversation about whether overseas education fits your goals, finances, and family situation. We don’t push abroad as the default — sometimes the best answer is a great Indian college.

Country & University Shortlisting

Based on your academic profile, budget, career goals, and lifestyle preferences, we build a shortlist of 6–10 universities across three tiers — ambitious, realistic, and safe. No guesswork, no recycled lists.

Personalised to your profile
3

Test Prep Guidance

IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT — we advise on which tests you need, target scores for your shortlisted universities, and the best preparation strategy. We don’t run coaching ourselves; we guide you to the right resources.

Test strategy included
4

SOP & Application Support

Your Statement of Purpose is the most personal document in your application — it should sound like you, not a template. We work with you across multiple drafts. We also support LORs, CV/resume, and supplemental essays.

Multiple drafts included
5

Scholarship & Financial Aid Research

We identify scholarships you’re eligible for — university merit awards, government scholarships, and external funding. Studying abroad doesn’t always mean paying full fees if you know where to look.

Visa Preparation

Student visa applications are detail-intensive. We prepare you for your visa interview, review your documentation checklist, and explain every requirement for your destination country — so nothing gets rejected over a technicality.

Pre-departure Orientation

Accommodation, banking, healthcare, cultural adjustment, and safety — a full briefing so you arrive prepared, not overwhelmed. We cover the things no brochure tells you.

A student’s story

“I applied to 11 universities on my own first and got rejected everywhere. Then I came to counselling.fyi. They rebuilt my shortlist, rewrote my SOP from scratch, and helped me understand why I was positioning myself wrong. I got into 3 of the next 6 I applied to — including my first choice in Canada.”

Common questions

What families ask us most

For UG (after Class 12), ideally begin in Class 11 — 18 months before your intake. For PG (MS/MBA), start 12–15 months before your target intake. Starting late is survivable but stressful; starting early gives you time to improve weak areas in your profile.

It varies enormously by country. Germany can be under ₹8–10L per year all-in. Canada and Australia range ₹25–45L/year. USA and UK can be ₹40–80L/year or more. Scholarships can significantly reduce this. We’ll give you a realistic cost breakdown for every country on your shortlist.

Yes. A lower GPA doesn’t close all doors — it changes your university list. A strong SOP, solid test scores, relevant work experience, and well-chosen universities can still result in admission. Honesty about your profile upfront is what makes our shortlisting realistic rather than wishful.

We don’t process loans directly, but we guide families through the education loan landscape — which banks and NBFCs offer the best terms, what collateral requirements look like, and how to structure your documentation. We can refer you to trusted loan counsellors for the actual processing.
